Haathi was simply not born a princess of the Ivory Kingdom. She, however did get raised by one of it's inhabitants. As an infant, Haathi was found abandoned and a kind-hearted elephant woman took her in. Haathi got along with everyone in the kingdom and all the creatures who lived around it, which is how Peanut Butter aka "Butter" became her partner. Her sense of adventure and care for others led her to take the heroic path of an Adventurer.
